题目: The p-adic ergodic theory and its applications to computer science and cryptology
摘要:Most of basic computer instructions, both numerical (integer addition and multiplication) and logical (bitwise logical conjunction, disjunction, negation, etc.) can be expanded to the set of all infinite binary strings. The latter set can naturally be associated to the ring of 2-adic integers which is a (non-Archimedean) metric space w.r.t. the 2-adic metric. The mentioned expansions are continuous (actually, 1-Lipschitz) functions defined on and valuated in the said metric space. Therefore one can study compositions of the computer instructions (that is, straight line programs, or T-functions) by using the 2-adic analysis. Similarly, one can consider automatic maps produced by automata whose input/output alphabets consist of p symbols as continuous transformations of the space of p-adic integers. This way the p-adic ergodic theory (which deals with ergodic properties of dynamical systems on p-adic metric spaces) becomes a powerful tool in a study of properties of various T-function-based cryptographic primitives (stream ciphers, cipher combiners, etc.), as well as Latin squares and automata maps.The p-adic dynamics (and the p-adic ergodic theory as a part of it) is a rapidly developing mathematical discipline that has numerous applications. The talk is an introduction to the p-adic ergodic theory, its recent developments and various applications to computer science and cryptology. 

Vladimir Anashin is a Doctor of Science (Math.) and a professor at the Laboratory of Mathematical Methods of Computer Security, Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia). In 2009, Vladimir Anashin together with Andrei Khrennikov published a comprehensive monograph `Applied Algebraic Dynamics' (DeGruyter, Berlin-NY) on non-Archimedean dynamics and its applications.Currently Vladimir Anashin is a visiting professor at the State Key Laboratory of Information Security Institute of Information Engineering Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS visiting professorship for senior international scientists grant No 2009G2-11).

题目:A New Approach to the Study of Multivariate Public Key Cryptography
摘要:The Isomorphism of Polynomials (IP) is one of the most fundamental problems in multivariate public key cryptography (MPKC). In this talk, we introduce a new framework to study the counting problem associated to IP. Namely, we present tools of finite geometry allowing to enumerate or estimate the number of isomorphism equivalence classes of homogeneous quadratic polynomial systems. These problems are equivalent to finding the scale of the key space of a multivariate cryptosystem and the total number of different multivariate cryptographic schemes respectively, which might impact the security and the potential capability of MPKC. We also consider their applications in the analysis of a specific multivariate public key cryptosystem. Our results not only answer how many cryptographic schemes can be derived from monomials and how big the key space is for a fixed scheme, but also show that quite many HFE cryptosystems are equivalent to a Matsumoto-Imai scheme.
 
林东岱,男,1964年出生,理学博士。1987.09-1990.07在中国科学院系统所攻读博士学位。1994.04-1996.03在日本大学理工学部从事博士后研究,1996.04-1997.10在日本大学理工学部数学科做访问学者,1999.09-2000.02在美国肯特州立大学数学与计算机科学系做访问教授。1990.07-2011.09分别在中国科学院系统所、软件所工作。现为中国科学院信息工程研究所研究员、信息安全学科博士生导师,信息安全国家重点实验室常务副主任,信息安全共性技术国家工程中心主任(2010-现在)。中国密码学会常务理事,中国密码学会学术工作委员会副主任委员。长期从事密码理论、安全协议、符号计算与软件设计等方面的研究工作。近年来,先后承担了“八五”攀登计划项目并任专家委员会委员、“九五”攀登预选项目、国家973计划、国家863计划、国家自然科学基金、国家发改委专项等多个项目;获国家科技进步二等奖(2011年度,第九完成人),国家密码科技进步一等奖(省部级,2006年度,第九完成人),中国科学院“朱李月华优秀教师”奖(2009年度);出版著作10部;在IEEE Transactions on Information Theory、Discrete Applied Mathematics、IEEE Proceedings communications、Science in China和EUROCRYPT欧洲密码学年会、ASIACRYPT亚洲密码学年会等国内外重要期刊或会议上发表学术论文150余篇。    敬请各位老师、同学莅临交流!
