讲座人介绍 丁志国教授于2000获得北京邮电大学电气工程学士学位,2005获帝国理工学院电气工程博士学位。从2005至2018,先后在女王大学贝尔法斯特、帝国学院、纽卡斯尔大学和兰开斯特大学工作。自2018年4月以来,担任曼彻斯特大学通信学教授。从2012年9月至2018年9月,他在普林斯顿大学的做访问学者。
        丁教授的研究方向是5G网络,博弈论,合作和能量收集网络以及统计信号处理。曾担任  IEEE Transactions on Communications  ,  IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Networks, IEEE Wireless Communication Letters, IEEE Communication Letters, and Journal of Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing期刊的编辑;曾任the 6th IET International Conference on Wireless, Mobile & Multimedia Networks (ICWMMN2015)的TPC联合主席,International Conference on Computing, Networking and Communications. (ICNC 2016), the 25th Wireless and Optical Communication Conference (WOCC)的研讨会主席和WCNC-2013 Workshop on New Advances for Physical Layer Network Coding的研讨会主席。曾获得IET Comm. Conf. on Wireless、Mobile and Computing、2009 and the 2015 International Conference on Wireless Communications、Signal Processing (WCSP 2015)最佳论文奖;2012年IEEE Communication Letter模范审稿人;2012-2014欧盟玛丽居里奖学金;IEEE TVT 2017年顶级编辑和2018年IEEE Heinrich Hertz奖。
讲座内容 During the past decades, the boundary between computing and communications has become more and more indistinguishable due to their used common technologies, where mobile edge computing (MEC) is one of the latest examples for such convergence of computing and communications. The key feature of MEC is to provide storage and computing functionalities at the edge of wireless communication networks, where the former is realized by wireless caching and the latter is accomplished by MEC offloading. This talk is to provide a brief overview for the impact of an emerging communication technique, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), on wireless caching and MEC offloading. Particularly, we will show a few NOMA assisted caching strategies which can improve the hit probability in a spectrally efficient way. In addition, the fundamental limits of NOMA-MEC are illustrated, where its energy consumption and offloading delay are analyzed and optimized. Finally, the study is concluded with a discussion of important research challenges and promising future directions in NOMA.
