讲座人介绍 丁志国博士(Zhiguo Ding),英国曼切斯特大学电气与电子工程学院教授。丁志国教授主要从事于无线电通信的研究工作,主要包括机器学习与信号处理、能量收集与物理层安全、5G网络与绿色无线电通信、物联网应用等领域。出版专业书籍3本,发表高水平国际学术论文230余篇,包括160余篇期刊(SCI一区或二区)与70余篇顶级会议论文。在多个高水平学术期刊中担任编辑,并作为联合主席举办了多个国际学术会议。丁教授在学术界对NOMA的准则进行大力推广。他是所有IEEE期刊中关于NOMA的第一期特刊和IEEE JSAC关于5G系统非正交多址访问的特刊的首席特邀编辑,另外在专门为NOMA举办的第一届IEEE研讨会中担任联合主席。同时,丁教授也是2017年IEEE Communication Magazine和ZTE-Communication Journal中关于NOMA的特邀编辑。此外,他还在各种IEEE会议上举行过多次关于NOMA的讲座,会议包括BSC-16(加拿大)、ICCC-16(中国)、VTC-Fall-16(加拿大)和ICC-2017(法国)。他获得了IET Communications无线、移动和计算(2009)的最佳论文奖和2015届无线通信和信号处理国际会议(WCSP 2015)最佳论文奖、 IEEE Communication Letter模范审稿人(2012)、欧盟玛丽居里奖金(2012-2014)、IEEE TVT顶级编辑(2017)和IEEE海因里希赫兹奖(2018)。
讲座内容 Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is an essential enabling technology for the fifth generation (5G) wireless networks to meet the heterogeneous demands on low latency, high reliability, massive connectivity, improved fairness, and high throughput. The key idea behind NOMA is to serve multiple users in the same resource block, such as a time slot, subcarrier, or spreading code. The NOMA principle is a general framework, where several recently proposed 5G multiple access techniques can be viewed as special cases. Recent demonstrations by industry show that the use of NOMA can significantly improve the spectral efficiency of mobile networks. Because of its superior performance, NOMA has been also recently proposed for downlink transmission in 3rd generation partnership project long-term evolution (3GPP-LTE) systems, where the considered technique was termed multiuser superposition transmission (MUST). In addition, NOMA has been included into the next generation digital TV standard, e.g. ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) 3.0, where it was termed Layered Division Multiplexing (LDM). This talk is to provide an overview of the latest research results and innovations in NOMA technologies as well as their applications. Particularly various practical forms of NOMA, such as SCMA, PDMA, power-domain NOMA, etc., will be presented in a general framework. Future research challenges regarding NOMA in 5G and beyond are also presented.
