讲座人介绍 Bio sketchDr. Lihua Tang is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Auckland, New Zealand. He received the BEng degree in Engineering Mechanics and MEng degree in Solid Mechanics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2005 and 2008, respectively, and the PhD degree in Structures and Mechanics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2012. He has published more than 70 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers and his work has attracted more than 1800 citations (Google Scholar). His research interests include energy harvesting, smart materials and structures, vibration and noise control, nonlinear dynamics, acoustic metamaterials, thermoacoustics and MEMS. He currently serves on ASME Energy Harvesting Technical Committee (EHTC) and ASME Adaptive Structures and Material Systems (ASMS) Technical Branch.
讲座内容 Abstract: Vibration energy harvesting (VEH) provides an exciting potential solution to achieve self-powered wireless sensing and monitoring for a variety of applications. The challenge of limited operation bandwidth of traditional VEH design based on a linear oscillator can be addressed by intentionally introducing nonlinearity to the energy harvesting system. In this talk, I will briefly discuss a few issues involved in the nonlinear energy harvester (NEH) design, for example, the influence of the circuit on the broadband behaviour of NEH and one circuit method to trigger high-energy-orbit oscillation of NEH. I will then discuss two nonlinear multi-DOF energy harvesting systems which exploiting the intriguing internal resonance phenomenon and the impact induced nonlinear dynamics to achieve wider useful bandwidth.
