|讲座人介绍||Shah Nawaz Burokur received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Nantes (France) in 2005. He is actually an Associate Professor at the Université Paris Nanterre. His current research interests are in the areas of microwave and applications of periodic structures, complex media, metamaterials and metasurfaces, in the analysis of integrated planar and conformal circuits and antennas. He is also involved in the design of electromagnetic devices based on the powerful concept of transformation optics. He has published 5 book chapters and more than 60 papers in scientific journals and holds 1 patent on a metamaterial-based antenna. On a national level in France, he is the coordinator of a think tank on new antenna concepts involving metamaterials and metasurfaces.
|讲座内容||Metamaterial surfaces referred to as metasurfaces have then been studied and used for filtering and antenna’s coupling reduction. Other more recent studies have dealt with phase controlled metasurfaces acting as Partially Reflective Surfaces in Fabry-Perot type cavity antennas in order to steer the radiated beam or to restore in-phase emissions from conformal antennas.Metasurfaces such as High Impedance Surfaces (HIS) and Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) surfaces have rapidly attracted interests for respectively the suppression of surface wave propagation and for a zero degree reflection phase, compared to the 180° phase shift of Perfect electric Conductor (PEC) surfaces. New types of antennas have then been designed with such engineered metamaterial surfaces. Generally, these antennas are more compact than their classical counterparts, or show performances that are difficult to achieve with traditional design rules.|
